Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who create a Watzop account (company admins, agents, and the Watzop owner) and to the customer WhatsApp conversations those companies handle through Watzop.

2. Information we collect

Account information: company name, your name (derived from the company name at signup), username, email address, and password (stored hashed).

Workspace information: teammate accounts, roles (company admin or agent), and optional profile details you save in Settings.

WhatsApp Business account information granted through Meta Embedded Signup: WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA), business phone number ID, display phone number, verified name, quality and display-name status, and access tokens needed to call the Cloud API on your behalf.

Messaging information: opted-in customer WhatsApp numbers and names you add as contacts; message text; template names and bodies synced from Meta; inbound and outbound media (images, documents, and similar files) and Meta media IDs.

Technical information: IP address, browser type, and basic logs needed to run, secure, and debug the service.

3. Facebook Login and Meta APIs

Watzop accounts use email or username and a password. We do not use Facebook Login to sign in to Watzop.

We use Facebook Login for Business only on the WhatsApp page, through Meta Embedded Signup. When you click Connect WhatsApp, Meta authenticates you and you grant our app:

• whatsapp_business_management — to read your WABA, phone numbers, webhook subscription, and message templates
• whatsapp_business_messaging — to register the number, send and receive Cloud API messages and media, and read the business profile
• public_profile and email — only because Facebook Login for Business requires them to complete Embedded Signup

We do not request friends lists, birthday, gender, Pages, ads, or Instagram permissions. We do not post on Facebook or Instagram.

Message delivery uses the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API (Meta Graph API). Meta also processes that data under its own terms and WhatsApp Business policies.

4. How we use information

• Create and secure your company workspace
• Connect, refresh, and disconnect your WhatsApp Business number
• Show inbox, contacts, and templates, and send or receive messages you initiate
• Subscribe webhooks so inbound customer messages appear in Watzop
• Provide owner-level administration of companies and Meta app settings
• Prevent abuse, debug errors, and comply with law

We do not sell personal data. We do not use WhatsApp message content to train public AI models or for advertising.

5. Sharing

Meta / WhatsApp: to complete Embedded Signup and to send, receive, and store Cloud API messages.

Hosting and infrastructure providers that run app.watzop.com (including the server that stores the application database).

Your teammates inside the same Watzop company, according to their role.

Authorities if required by law. We do not share your WABA with other Watzop customers.

6. Retention

We keep account, WhatsApp connection, contact, and message data while your company uses Watzop. After you delete your account or we process a deletion request, we remove or anonymize that data from production systems within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve disputes. Disconnecting a number in Watzop unlinks it from the workspace; it does not delete the number inside Meta WhatsApp Manager.

7. Your choices

You can update profile and password in Settings. Company admins can disconnect WhatsApp, manage teammates, and export or delete contacts by contacting us. Anyone can request access, correction, or deletion as described on our Data deletion page.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access limited to the company that owns the data. No method of transmission is 100% secure. Protect your Watzop password and Meta Business login.

9. Children

Watzop is a business product. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data as end users of the workspace.
